                     ABOUT US  (mainly Stuart)

vibrant-gardens is owned and run by Stuart White, who has extensive knowledge in the horticultural and arboricultural fields.

Qualified with National Diploma in Amenity Landscape Horticulture, Sports Turf Management and Arboriculture. Stuart also went on to win Best Practical Student for his final year at Cannington College in Somerset.

City and Guilds Phase I & II Amenity Horticulture, and City and Guilds Phase III Arboriculture.

Being an ND qualified arborist, we have the nessesary NPTC qualifications.

Stuart first cut his teeth in horticulture working on commercial grounds maintenance contracts around South Wales for BT, working his way up in just a few months to become a team leader, before leaving to return to college.

On finishing college, he then worked for a local landscape gardener mainly working on domestic contracts and a few commercial ones too. 

Just under 2 years later he left to work for Cardiff County Council on the Arboricultural Unit looking after the citys public street and parks trees and woodlands

11 years later, after working his way up to foreman and running the Wood Recycling Center at Fforest Farm Conservation Area, he left to work full time on his new business selling firewood and Biomass woodfuels, becoming one of Cardiff's largest fuelwood supplier.

8 years on, it was time to change direction and so Vibrant Gardens began.

As well as running his own business, Stuart is a keen Kayaker and Canoeist, often frequenting Cardiff White Water Center. He is also a committee member for the local canoe club, and is a trained Level 1 canoe/kayak coach, Trainee river leader, Trainee Level 1 raft guide, member of the local raft racing team ( current series winners) and is Rescue and Emergency Care First Aid Trained.

Because of Stuarts position on the canoe committee, his coach qualification, and his wifes job, he is regulary having CRB checks.  You can be assured they always come back clean!!!
